The Judson Garage Doors home page — “Dracut’s own garage door company” set over a photograph of a New England colonial at dusk, with Book online and Call buttons and a strip of service links along the foot.

Before

The Judson Garage Door Facebook page — 156 followers, “100% recommend (7 Reviews)”, a phone number and a Gmail address under Contact info, and a most-recent post dated July 3, 2024. No website is listed.
The entire web presence before: 156 followers, a Gmail address, no website and no domain. The most recent post is dated 3 July 2024, and the seven recommendations were visible only to someone already on the page.

The challenge

Jeff Judson has been fixing garage doors around Dracut for years. His entire web presence was a Facebook page with 156 followers that had not posted since July 2024, and a Gmail address. No website, no domain, nothing to rank — while the searches his customers actually type were being answered by somebody else entirely.

The approach

  1. 01

Twenty-seven competitors went through the 100-point matrix first: thirteen national independents, four regional New England operators and fourteen businesses in the Dracut and Greater Lowell market. Nobody is actually in Dracut — the nearest addressed independents are seven to fifteen miles out.

  2. 02

A verification card instead of a hero image. The first thing on the page is a checkable list: based in Dracut, rings Jeff’s own phone, Jeff does the work, seven public recommendations. It closes with “nothing on this card is a claim.”

  3. 03

A pricing page nobody else has — a flat service call credited in full against any repair, ranges for the three jobs people actually ring about, and an honest section titled “why we won’t give you a firm price on the phone.” Not one competitor in the Merrimack Valley publishes a number.

  4. 04

A page per job and per town: springs, openers, cables and rollers, tune-ups and new doors, plus a service-area page and a dedicated page for Lowell — the searches people type at 7am when something breaks, rather than the business name.

  5. 05

The reviews he already had, surfaced. His Facebook page carried seven recommendations; they are published verbatim with names rather than cherry-picked.

Every line on the page can be checked before you let someone into your home. For a trade where the fear is being overcharged by a stranger, that is the whole pitch — and it is the one thing none of the competitors were willing to do.

The build

The How we price page — the jobs people call about with what is included and what moves the number, followed by a section headed “Why we won’t give you a firm price on the phone.”

The home page on a phone — the headline over the same photograph, with Book online and Call buttons, and a call bar pinned across the foot within thumb reach.
