Cookie Policy
Last updated: 21 September 2026
1. Purpose of this Cookie Policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Utu Nanna Studio (“we,” “us,” or “our”) uses cookies and similar technologies on utunannastudio.com (the “Site”). It should be read with our Privacy Policy.
When Utu Nanna Analytics is enabled, a preference control asks whether you want to allow analytics. Tracking stays off until you choose Allow analytics. You can decline and still use the site and contact form.
2. What cookies and similar technologies are
Cookies are small text files stored on a browser or device. Similar technologies include local storage, software development kits, tags, pixels, and scripts that store information on or access information from a device. They can support basic operation, remember choices, measure use, prevent fraud, or support advertising.
3. How we use them
Strictly necessary
These technologies support security, network delivery, forms, session continuity, and storage of cookie preferences. They may be provided by Utu Nanna Studio, Vercel, or another essential provider. They are active only where needed to provide a requested service or meet another legal exemption.
Payment and fraud prevention
Stripe and its financial partners may use technologies needed to process a requested payment, authenticate a transaction, and reduce fraud. Optional payment-related tracking remains subject to consent where required.
Functional
These technologies remember choices or enable enhanced, non-essential features. They remain off until consent where required.
The AI assistant does not load until you choose to open it. At that point, the chat places a random n8n-chat/sessionId identifier in local storage so messages can stay connected within the conversation. It is used for chat functionality, not advertising.
Analytics
Utu Nanna Analytics records landing pages, pages viewed, selected clicks, referral domains and campaign (UTM) tags. A random visitor identifier and session identifier connect visits and, when you submit a contact enquiry, its name and email to the journey. Collection runs through our Vercel server and data is stored in Supabase. We do not use fingerprinting or store raw IP addresses in analytics. We honour Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control by keeping analytics off.
Advertising or social media
If enabled, these technologies may measure campaigns, personalize advertising, or support social-media features. They remain off until consent where required, and active providers are identified in Cookie Settings.
4. Vercel
The Site is hosted and delivered using Vercel. Vercel may process technical information such as IP address, request data, device or browser details, and security or performance signals to provide hosting, routing, reliability, and abuse prevention. Some Vercel features or integrations may use device storage or similar technologies. Their use should be reflected in the live cookie inventory.
5. Stripe
We use Stripe to process payments. When you choose to pay, you may be redirected to Stripe or interact with Stripe-hosted payment components. Stripe may use cookies and similar technologies for payment functionality, authentication, fraud prevention, security, and its own services. Stripe processes information under its Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy, and its retention periods may differ from ours.
6. Consent and UK/EU rules
For users in the United Kingdom or European Economic Area, we ask for consent before setting or accessing non-essential cookies or similar technologies where required by the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations, ePrivacy rules, UK GDPR, or EU GDPR. Strictly necessary technologies may be used without consent when the applicable exemption is met.
- Non-essential categories must remain off unless you take a clear positive action to accept them.
- Rejecting non-essential cookies should be as easy as accepting them, and the Site should remain usable for core functions.
- Where non-essential technologies are introduced, you will be able to give granular choices by category and withdraw consent at any time.
- Consent records may be retained for an appropriate period to demonstrate and remember your choices.
Consent to a cookie does not replace any separate lawful-basis requirement for later processing of personal data. Our Privacy Policy explains those purposes, lawful bases, disclosures, retention, transfers, and individual rights.
7. Your choices
When analytics is enabled, use the Analytics preferences control on this page to allow, decline or turn it off. Turning it off deletes the analytics visitor cookie and current session state, and stops future collection. It does not erase records already collected; contact us to request deletion. Your preference is remembered in local storage. If device storage is blocked, the choice lasts for this page visit.
Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies. Blocking all cookies may prevent forms, preferences, logins, payments, or other Site functions from working correctly. Browser controls do not necessarily block every similar technology.
8. Cookie duration
The first-party analytics visitor cookie (whose name begins una_) is readable only by our server and lasts for up to one year. Local storage entries beginning una: hold your analytics preference and, after consent, your current session. A session ends after 30 minutes of inactivity or when a new external referral or campaign starts a visit. Preference and session storage remain on the device until replaced, cleared or withdrawn; expired sessions are not reused.
The AI assistant’s n8n-chat/sessionId local-storage entry remains until it is replaced by a new chat session or you clear site data in your browser.
9. International processing
Vercel, Stripe, and other approved providers may process information in the United States and other countries. Where UK GDPR or EU GDPR restricted-transfer rules apply, we rely on an applicable adequacy mechanism, approved contractual safeguards such as the EU Standard Contractual Clauses or UK International Data Transfer Addendum/Agreement, and any other required measures, as described in the Privacy Policy.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when technologies, providers, or legal requirements change. We will revise the effective date and, where required, request fresh consent before materially different non-essential use.
